Born and raised on the East Coast of Canada now Angela Tunner resides with her husband, child and pets and has a studio in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.

Having started painitng as a child her early work was in drawings, oil painting and pencil drawings but in the 1990's chose to start work in acrylics on canvas. Her fluid and expressive paintings are boldly colored with rich, juicy brush strokes, texture and depth. "I try to draw the eye into the painitng, deep into the emotion of the piece through the movement of the brushstrokes"

She painted one of her contemporary pieces on a fibreglass sculpture of an Orca for the public art project "Orcas in the City" Vancouver (www.orcasinthecity.com).
